Looks great if single tungsten lamp with a DMX dimmer is used. Also works with LED fixtures. Creates a more decent TV effect.

For color changes from tungsten to daylight we add the "DIM OUT 2"- channel of the LFX Master DMX.
The LED fixture needs to provide CCT control.
You will see Instructions as soon as you have selected your model in step 2.
Hint TV RGB
For RGB lighting effects the LED fixture needs to support separate dim control of red, green and blue.
For TV effects with tungsten you need to have at least three lamps (with different gels) controlled by a DMX dimmer pack.

You cannot control the color temperature by DMX at any tungsten brand! Please go one step back and choose "fixed color" or choose a different lamp brand.

Ooops. Are you sure? Best results for a candle effect can be achieved using a lamp with very small light emitting surface.
The lamp you have chosen is not ideal. Anyway you could grab this model.
We suggest to choose Dedolight or a very small tungsten lamp up to 300 W.
Hohoho, just a moment. Not a good idea. This tungsten lamp has a strong filament inertia. The result would look better if you choose a smaller tungsten lamp or even better a LED fixture.
Option: add color changes
yes, cross- fade colors for fire
On lower dim levels the color fades to red. High dim levels fade to dark orange.
Use two gels, one for upper dim level, another one for lower dim levels for color fades.
Pre-selected for the upper level is "Golden Amber", for the lower "Lite red".
You may change the gels from the gel library. See sample film clip

1. Hardware set-up

Link with a DMX cable the DMX output of the LFX Master DMX with the DMX input of the {2 - Aladdin Model:3}{2 - Arri Model:44}{2 - BBS models:39}{2- Creamsource models:40}{2- Dedolight models:41}{2 - Kinoflo models:16}{2 - Sumolight models:42}{2::tungsten dimmer:114}.

Move JOG to number next to "DIM OUT 1" > set DMX address to {2::::DMX-512 start address:12}.
For "{1:Lighting effect:1}" set the color temperature (CCT) of DMX channel {2::startaddress +1 > CCT channel:144} to the highest value.
For "{1:Lighting effect:1}" set the color temperature (CCT) of DMX channel {2::startaddress +1 > CCT channel:144} to the highest value.
Activate xfade function for second gel
Scroll down to function "XFA" > click on the arrow > change from "fix" to "DIM OUT 2"

Let´s head up for {1:Lighting effect:1}!
Turn rotary switch "EFFECT" to position "{1:Lighting effect:1}".
Start using the default values for SPEED, DIMMER max and DIMMER min as printed on the control panel.
Usage
Turn knob "DIMMER MAX" to 100%.
Set "SPEED" to 50%.
For standard constant lights on set "DIMMER MIN" to 100%.
For a "short-circuit" effect quickly turn "DIMMER MIN" to 0% and go back to 100% if the effect should stop.
Notes
The DMX channels {2::::DMX-512 start address:12} - {2:TEMP Sum o last CH 1 +3:121} will be used for this set-up.
Please make sure there are no other devices in the DMX universe using these channels.

Edit/check settings of the LFX Master DMX.

Turn rotary switch "EFFECT" to position "DMX set-up" > "DMX OUT" > "edit DMX channels". There is the directory of all you DMX channels, its functions and parameters.
